Garden and Croft Life

Step outside onto the decking, listen to the birdsong and enjoy the space of our large garden on a working Hebridean croft. In late summer, you may even find wild raspberries ready to pick.

Walks and Wild Places

Step outside and discover a landscape made for exploring, from quiet coastal paths to the wild hills of Uig and Harris. Around every corner, there’s another view worth stopping for.

Wildlife & the Sea

Keep watch for sea eagles overhead and dolphins and whales offshore. With an ever-changing coastline and abundant wildlife, the natural world is never far from your doorstep.

After a day exploring Lewis, light the wood-burning stove, settle in and enjoy a quiet evening at the cottage. The thick stone walls and cosy interior make Stone’s Throw a welcoming retreat whatever the weather.

Slow down, breathe deeply and settle into island life. Find an empty beach, watch the Atlantic roll in, or simply enjoy the peace and space of the Outer Hebrides.

From freshly landed seafood to locally reared meat and island baking, Lewis has some wonderful produce to discover. Cook at the cottage or seek out one of the island’s cafés and restaurants.
